Bluelink brings your water quality data direct to you phone via the app, which is available to download on both Android and Apple devices from the relevant app stores, follow the links below to your preferred store.
The Bluelink bluetooth water quality monitoring adapter is made from aluminium and carbon fibre and houses a rechargeable battery. The unit also features a barometric pressure sensor for live compensations of the dissolved oxygen and depth measurements.
The internal battery within Bluelink is rechargeable. It is supplied with a USB charging cable meaning it can be charged from your PC, USB wall plug or a portable battery with USB sockets.
The Bluelink module can only be powered with a cable connected to it, preventing the device from draining if left switched on when the cable and probe are disconnected.
Open up the Bluelink app on your device after switching on the Bluelink unit. The app will start in the ‘add new device’ screen and auto detect the Bluelink unit, click on it to pair. Previously paired probes will appear here to make it quicker to connect.
Connecting your probe with Bluelink is performed withing the app, its quick and reliable. Once connected you can enter the settings tab at the bottom of the screen to set any additional sensors fitted to the AUX sockets.
Once configured, the Live data tab at the bottom will show you all the current measurements from all fitted sensors. If you press the view icon at the top of the screen you can switch between standard view, list view and graph view where live graphs are generated as the readings refresh every 2 seconds – fantastic for monitoring stability of your readings.
Bluelink also enables you to calibrate all the sensors fitted to you probe. The main calibration screen will show you the date the sensor was last calibrated, along with the calibration report values. Click on the icon on the right of the parameter you wish to calibrate to enter its calibration screen. In this screen you will find a live graph of the chosen parameter and the current temperature detected by the probe. You can monitor the live graph to assess the stability and observe the temperature to ensure they are stable before calibrating. In addition, the software also runs stability checks and will not allow you to calibrate until the measurements are stable.
In the live data screens once you have set your desired logging frequency you can either take a snapshot of the current data or you can start to record. Data logs can be found in the Logs tab along the bottom. Each data log has its own file that can either be downloaded, shared, viewed or deleted. When viewing the data you can see a graph of the full data set for each parameter, allowing you to study your data within the app. Sharing is also simple utilising your phones sharing options such as sending the data to an email address as an attached csv file.v
